Falling for Carolina

Whew... finally getting a post up. I am going to be honest, it is hard trying to find time to blog in college. I don't realize how much school has taken over my life until I don't have the time to do things I love as much! However, I am thankful for mornings on the horseshoe where I have time to actually take outfit pictures (even if its at 8:30am) and days off where I can actually sit down and put out good posts. I do not want to blog all the time if it will not be quality content! I hope y'all understand.

Fall is in the air and winter is quickly approaching, but I am enjoying every bit of fall while I can. Can we just talk about how freaking good fall looks on Carolina. Okay, great talk... Nothing I love more than leaves everywhere and autumn tones throughout. My favorite thing about the cooler weather... sweaters! I especially love this one from Dress Up, it is a lightweight fabric but still keeps me warm and is super cozy. Garnet is also a staple color for fall (and for any Carolina fan all year). I paired the sweater with some of my favorite jeans from Zara (similar); the fringed ankles always amp up any outfit!

Virginia Loving

I am quite surprised Fall Break actually felt like fall. Oh, how nice it was to not sweat everytime I stepped outside. It was even nicer to spend Fall Break at the University of Virginia, visiting my friend, Stephanie. I have heard UVA's campus is beautiful, but the talk does not do it justice! I loved it. Steph is one of my friends I met in Greece two summers ago, and we are basically the same person, loud, late to everything, etc. It was so great to spend so much time with her!

Downtown Charlottesville was too cute. Also, all the food we had was amazing. I am extremely jealous of all the unique and delicious restaurants they have. My favorite place was definitely Roots, but this strawberry coconut smoothie from The Juice Place was so decadent as well. I wore this leopard print top from Nordstrom Rack, black jean shorts with Steph's sandals from Italy, and these sunglasses from Amazon. It was pretty warm out, so I had fall vibes going on while still dressing for the weather! Leopard is one of my favorite prints, especially in the fall/winter. I love this top because it is silk and lightweight, a perfect shirt for transitioning from warm to cold weather.

Hey y'all! I cannot believe September is already almost over. I apologize for slacking on my blog, I know my posts have been very sporadic lately, but I am finally getting back into the swing of things. The school year is slowly absorbing me, but I am not too upset about it! I thrive off of being busy. I feel as if it is that way for a lot of people; what about you, does being busy make you stressed or oddly content? I have always found myself on the path to success when I keep myself involved and engaged... Anyways! Into what this post is really about, my current beauty, style, and lifestyle must-haves. Over the past few months, I have accumulated and discovered a lot of things I am obsessed with. I am sharing with you because I believe you need to be obsessed with them too, they are that great.

Whew, summer is over just like that! I apologize for the lack of posts; it has been such an insane past two months. I am now back in Columbia prepping for sorority recruitment!

I was fortunate enough to have another summer spent exploring my roots abroad. This trip was quite different than Greece last summer, more of a study abroad rather than a religious journey. I went on a program called NDCP which was only for young Cypriots. It was a very unique experience to meet other young Cypriots from all over the world! Three weeks in one of the most beautiful countries, learning Greek and being immersed into true Cypriot culture.
Enjoy taking a peek into my summer adventure!

I have to admit, a few years ago I thought overalls were so tacky. However, my style has evolved a lot since then, as well as my ability to understand the versatility of garments! I saw these amazing overalls at Dress Up and knew they had to be mine. I love the rips on the legs and the length is perfect on my 5 foot 2 inch self. I wanted to make the overalls more trendy and perfect for any occasion, through the use of different shoes, tops, and accessories. So I have put together 3 different looks using the same pair of overalls! (My exact overalls are out of stock online, but here are some great options under $100: one, two, and three.)

Look 1 - Fun and Flirty

For the first look I wanted to show y'all how overalls can be glam-ed up a little. I opted for this linen, subtle-fringe tank from the Loft outlet. I added a belt to define my waist line a little better, and these western belts are very trendy right now! For shoes, I went with these really fun short block heels from DSW which I am head-over-heels for (pun intended). I rolled the bottoms since the shoes tie around the ankle. I love wearing a bold shoe with a simple top, as well as the leather in the belt tying together with the base of the shoes. This outfit is perfect for a family dinner or brunch with the girls.

Look 2 - Sporty Chic

The next look, I put together something very casual and comfortable, but still very stylish. I love the way overalls and sneakers compliment each other. You could definitely pair a bold top, like a vibrant red orange, but I opted for a simple black and white striped tee to keep a more monochromatic look. I did add a pop of color with this super cool hat from Express! This shade of pink is gorgeous and the satiny texture adds a pop to this simple outfit. I also did one strap undone to make the overalls more relaxed, as well as unrolling the bottoms. I would honestly wear this outfit anywhere! I can even see myself wearing it in the fall for gameday if I just switch this hat for a Carolina one.

Look 3 - Bold Florals

This final look is definitely a more unconventional way to wear overalls, but I really like it! I put this stunning off-the-shoulder burgundy floral top over top the overalls. I like how the hooks on the overalls hold the top from slipping up (which can get very annoying with this style shirt)! This feminine shirt balances the distressed boyfriend denim perfectly. As for these Steve Madden wedges, I am obsessed! They are surprisingly very comfortable and would seriously match any outfit. I would definitely wear this outfit for a day in the city or even a date night (I mean I am not going on any dates lol, but if I was, I would totally wear this outfit).

As for my jewelry, I kept it all the same for each look. You can really never go wrong with gold hoops and a simple Kendra Scott druzy necklace!

Thank you so much for reading! I would love to know which look was your favorite. I hope I have inspired you to give overalls a shot. Also, big thank you to Blair from allthingsblair.com for taking these pictures for me!

Hey y'all! Todays post is a review on the new L'oreal Lash Paradise mascara! This post is a little different than what I normally talk about, but I thought I would try it out. I love testing out new makeup products, especially drug store. I do not usually like to stray away from my favorite mascaras which are Covergirl Clump Crusher, Too Faced Better Than Sex, and Benefit They're Real, however I heard about this new L'oreal one and knew I had to try it!

In Atlanta recently there has been very few sunny skies and a whole lot of rain, and all I have wanted to do is relax by the pool. While waiting for the sun to come out, I have been ooooh and ahhh -ing over some freaking adorable swim suits (during my Netflix binges...Riverdale is SO good btw).

BUT, some of my favorite brands have taken charge in making trendy swimsuits, and I am not complaining! Target has always been my go-to for swimwear, but Aerie has really stepped up the game. Plus, I love Aerie's platform of promoting you for who you are and embracing your body! I have put together some picks of very cute swimwear that are all under $50!

I am going to be honest... this summer has been boring. A lot of my friends are out of town, so I have had a lot of bonding time with my little brother and our new puppy. As fun as that has been, I was so excited when two of my friends from school came in town for the day. We explored the streets of Atlanta, but unfortunately spent way more time in traffic than actual downtown. Their goal was to find some really cool murals and it was definitely achieved! We walked around Krog Street Market which contains some of the "iconic" Atlanta murals.

So I was at GoodWill last week to find a dress to wear for one of my shows at my Greek Festival, and I stumbled upon some denim skirts and immediately thought: "I can definitely cut this up for a distressed, trendy look"...
And here we are! I am going to give y'all easy, step-by-step instructions on
how to distress your own denim!

Poncin' Around

When you are away at school for a long time, you forget fun actually exists at home! I fell so in love with Columbia, it was very refreshing to re-fall in love with Atlanta. So my friend and I went to Ponce City Market, which has always been one of our favorite spots to eat and shop. We got King of Pops, which are delicious if you have never had them! I was also able to finally pick up Casey Holmes' Spotlight Palette (from my April Wish-List).
I wore this new top from Anthropologie and denim shorts from Dress Up. I love this top because pom-poms are adorable and it goes with so much! The colors of the pom-poms are very fun and vibrant, but also the top is simple and will go with so many different looks. It is a perfect for summer and even transitioning into fall. To tie in the pop of pink in the shorts I paired these adorable sunglasses, also from Dress Up! They have the best trendy and affordable items. If you've never checked them out, you need to; they are one of my absolute favorite stores.
Had to stop at one of my favorite coffee shops - the Dancing Goat

sorority Formal 2017

My sorority had our formal this past weekend, the last hoorah of the semester. It was a blast dancing with my sisters and devouring the mouth-watering mac n cheese (my sorority really loves food, a lot). Now we are all winding down and ready to kill finals week...well, attempting to at least!

April Wish-list

I cannot believe the semester is coming to an end! The only thing getting me through these hectic weeks is knowing summer is right around the corner. Here are some items I am eyeing for summer:
1: pom-pom sandals, 2: marble one piece, 3: highlight palette, 4: blue&white floral tunic , 5: white tassel earrings, 6: tie block heels

1 // Ever since I went to Greece last summer, I have wanted a fun pair of sandals like these. They scream summer! I imagine pairing them with some white linen pants and a bright pink tank top or just a simple white dress.

2 // One pieces are all the rave right now. I have racked up quite a few over the years of church camp, but do not own many stylish ones. This blue and white marble one piece from TopShop is so fun, and I totally see myself rocking it on Cypriot beaches this summer.

3 // My favorite YouTuber, Casey Holmes, collaborated with SmashBox Cosmetics to create a highlight palette. It is absolutely gorgeous and I am dying to get my hands on it. I have very oily and textured skin, but so does Casey and it looks flawless on her! (Pictured is the pearl palette, there is also a gold one!)

4 // I think it is very obvious I am drawn to anything blue and white (hello Greek roots)! This tunic from Show Me Your Mumu is so breezy and looks so comfortable. I see myself wearing this as a beach cover up or to dinner with some lace up sandals and my blue ray bans.

5 // I love a good statement earring. I have had my eyes on the Bauble Bar tassel earrings for a while. I realized I do not have a good neutral pair of earrings besides my gold hoops, so the white was calling my name!

6 // The block heel is very in - both stylish and comfortable, how could it not be!? These nude sandals from Target will go with everything from a bold Lilly Pulitzer short or a simple sundress, even ripped skinnies and a white tee!

thanks for reading, what's on your wish-list for summer?

London Attire

For spring break, I was blessed to go to London with my family. I have been itching to go for so long, and needless to say I was not disappointed. The city is so incredible and absolutely stunning. We were fortunate enough to have great weather (well, great for London at least), but still much better than the beach in my opinion. Here are some of the outfits I wore on my trip:
Our first day I went for comfort, we spent the day shopping and walking through Hyde Park. My J. Crew x New Balance sneakers were perfect for this day!

Athens of the South

This past weekend I attended the #IVXVI reunion, which was the follow up of the best summer of my life (which I have a post about here). We all met up in the "Athens of the South", aka Nashville, TN. As a southern girl, I loved seeing my Northerners and Californians react to being amerced into a few days of southern style. It was a much needed weekend getaway in the middle of midterms to see some of my absolute favorite people and brought an amazing start to Great Lent. After a few weeks of beautiful weather and sunny skies in Columbia, I was not ready for the wind chills Nashville had. However, that meant I was able to pull out some outfits I have not been able to wear yet!
Nothing better than being back with my Delphi ladies!

Down the Alley

This morning my visual merchandising class took a tour down Main Street, a strip across the State House in Columbia. If you haven't been on Main, I definitely recommend! It is very rustic and all the buildings are unique with a lot of options to eat and shop. My friend Emily and I decided to explore after the tour and stop at a coffee shop and we stumbled down an alley pointed out on our tour, and it was a definite photo-op.
The other day I bought the most adorable white sweater from Vestique. I was trying to figure out how to style it into spring, even though its still pretty cold out. I found these pants in my closet which haven't been worn in a while and it turned out to be a perfect pairing! The dark background and neutral florals on these pants compliment so well with soft color and sleek lines of the top, plus the ruffle bell sleeves are very chic and on trend right now.

Janurary Favorites

Did Janurary fly by or is that just me? In the midst of this semester's first exams and the hype of Super Bowl weekend rapidly approaching (RISE UP), I'm excited to share what I have been loving this past month! I have found these to be my go-to items that never fail to disappoint.

I remember not having high hopes for this year, and 2015 not ending the way I thought it would. However, 2016 was definitely a year to remember, and in a very positive way. Every single day was unpredictable and exciting. A lot of major milestones occurred as well as a lot of unexpected opportunities. It is such a rewarding feeling ending this year as happy and blessed as I am.

Here is a little recap of some iconic moments of 2016:
